The IK Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, without religious or political ties. This unique independence, coupled with clearly defined goals, allows IK to promote and manage high-quality projects. Our autonomy allows us to discover and channel untapped energy in a manner that unites and encourages investments for promoting natural and cultural history.

When coupled to high quality objectives and long-term thinking, this independence makes it possible to create new and unique philanthropic investment opportunities. IK Foundation's long history of not having to rely on public funding has created a lot of trust amongst many financiers, including scientific foundations, organisations, governments, companies and private individuals.

However, as a not-for-profit organisation with high and admirable ambitions, financial project support is frequently required. This can be in the form of grants (funding), donations (funds and property), sponsoring (funds and services) or voluntary work and bequests (funds and property).

The IK Foundation has as its constant objective the creation and completion of important projects within a given time frame with limited resources. In order to ensure the best possible use of available funds, IK continually works to steer clear of bureaucracy and to ensure that its work is environmentally friendly and financially sound. All project related income is allocated to a specific project - there are no deductions.
