TITLE:
The Explorers' Handbook - Book Launch

DATE:
MARCH 2002

ARTICLE CONTENT:

IK Foundation & Company is proud to present the latest Explorer’s Handbook – an international series of books.

THE EXPLORER'S HANDBOOKS are a series of international pocket guides. Each guide, which is published in two languages, comprises short, succinct and generously illustrated chapters.

The guides are used to give the reader easily understood information about a visit or topic; maps make the handbooks ideal for pre-visit information or as a guide or follow-up. They average 52 to 74 pages including two foldouts, one of which is a postcard. Sold on site or in bookshops for a budget price, the handbooks are designed to be an easily affordable and worthwhile reference.

The Explorer’s Handbook ’Fertile Top-soil’ is a unique guide that describes a farming region of south Sweden that in recent years has experienced a dramatic period of urbanisation. The book explains that even in this type of landscape there is much to see and learn – both of cultural and natural historical interest.

Language: Swedish with comprehensive summaries and illustration texts in English
Format: 12 cm x 21 cm
Printed pages: 72 + one foldout and one postcard
Binding: Thread-stitched with soft paper cover
Additional information: Richly illustrated with photographs and maps. Cross references, additional reading and practical information
