The IK Foundation has had an intense year of work, and in recent months has initiated planning for various projects around the world. Planning takes a lot of time and it is important to us that what is planned today, can be implemented and provide results within set time frames; in the months and years to come – for IK has no guaranteed research funding, but can only rely on a hybrid economy based on self-financing and collaboration with other funds and philanthropists.

Therefore, IK's staff, departments and networks are occupied with exchanges of thoughts, the construction of new networks, but not least writing and sketching. So although IK is very much a highly digitised organisation, traditional pens of various kinds are also used in the daily work!

In the coming six months, IK will present, among other things, the following enterprises:

• Exclusive donation of IK's early research material – the true root of The IK Story.
• Donation of a world-class photo archive – the beginning of new uses.
• Bridge Builder Expeditions Russia & Kazakhstan – planned field work and research.
• Our newly designed and updated SHOP for BOOKS & ARTS.
• The next generation of the autonomous Field Station | Naturae Observatio.
• Bridge Builder Expeditions North America – planned field work and research.
• Presentation of the publicise project NATURAE OBSERVATIO SPITSBERGEN – Science Expeditions – an international book and exhibition project.
• New essays and new digital resources on iTEXTILIS.

Before we can make these announcements, we need a little more time to both finalise the thoughts about the projects as well as time to clean our pens, please be with us and watch this space!
