 Publications and exhibitions play an important role in our effort to reach different parts of the world and are part of IK's long term objective to encourage interdisciplinary research, based on the arts, culture, nature and the environment.Our mission is to present in-depth knowledge in an accurate, yet lucid and stimulating manner. We feel honoured that our books and exhibitions are appreciated not only by those already familiar with the subjects, but also by all the others who are interested or potentially interested, young as well as old - this we see as every person's right. IK has a long experience of handling massive amounts of information in a critical way and presenting it in the form of publications, exhibitions, seminars, broadcasts . and all the while new ideas are developed within IK of how to encourage thinking and learning within the fields of culture, nature and the environment. Our publications are distributed to about a hundred countries round the world, where they can be found in libraries, universities, museums, parliaments, but not least in private houses. Exhibitions - our own and in co-operation with other organisations - have been mounted for nearly two decades in just about every part of the world. | The pleasure of making items of cultural and natural historical
interest available to the public is an inspiring and important part of the
work of IK Foundation & Company. The results of IK projects are generally
published in book form or shown in the form of an exhibition - sometimes
it is a combination of both. When it is judged the subject is suitable and
important, IK also publishes books and produces exhibitions in collaboration
with other well-respected organisations. It is however, primarily our own projects that lie behind the factual and beautifully produced books and exhibitions that IK creates. No matter the size of the project, IK always demands the same high quality, i.e. well researched, long-term and correct content in combination with excellent design. On the next few pages you can read more about IK exhibitions and books. IK also uses other forms of media to broadcast the results of its work, these include seminars, radio, film and the Internet.
