TITLE:
Linnaeus Production
With a Sense of Nordic Heritage
DATE:
January 2006
ARTICLE CONTENT:
In connection with IK's work on the publication of the monumental editions to do with Linnaeus and his Apostles, we have the pleasure to announce some collaboration which follows a graphic tradition as regards quality and concern for the environment.
One of the oldest paper mills Lessebo Papermill has a direct geographical link with Linnaeus' home county of Småland. Most of the pulp, approximately 30% deciduous and 70% coniferous, is consequently delivered from Linnaeus' childhood surroundings, a county where Lessebo Handpappersbruk was established as early as the latter part of the 17th century. Handmade paper is still manufactured at the mill, in particular the modern exclusive four-colour-print paper "Linné" (Linnaeus). Therefore it comes naturally for IK to have signed an exclusive worldwide agreement to use this high quality paper, which has an historic connection as well as being environmentally friendly, for their Linnaeus projects.
A close collaboration has been set in motion between editors, paper mill, printing works and IK's senior designer of many years standing, Mrs Lena Granell, in order to offer our readers worldwide the best possible experience, where Nordic heritage, quality, environment connect with the future.
