TITLE:
The New Scientist Magazine publishes a story about the Linnaeus apostle Daniel Rolander
DATE:
AUGUST 4th 2007
ARTICLE CONTENT:
New Scientist journalist Stephanie Pain tells the extraordinary story about Daniel Rolander. Variously written off as a failure, a coward or a drunk, the reputation of Carl Linnaeus' protége is finally being restored.
Rolander was one of 17 Swedish men who became known as the Linnaeus Apostles, hand-picked for scientific expeditions by the most famous natural scientist of the age - Carl Linnaeus.
The five page article (New Scientist, 4 August 2007. p. 41-45) is based on The IK Foundation's work, The Linnaeus Apostles - Global Science & Adventure.
New Scientist has a network of correspondents and seven editorial offices worldwide, with a global reach that no other science magazine can match.
